QUESTION:
Hi Carlos,
I downloaded your e-book shortly after my ex-girlfriend decided to break up with me. And after having read it, I felt that you were spot on about several things, especially about the narcissist and the me-monkey. I was in a 3-4 month relationship with an extremely gorgeous Spanish girl, who is also incidentally the prettiest looking girl I have ever met, even when I compare her to celebrities. In fact on a scale I would give her a 9.5/10.
I then read your book and found out why I failed. Basically I failed to display the 3 crucial 'S's. But most importantly I found out that you said something that was quite true about girls like these, as I think that my former girlfriend was something of a combination of the me-monkey and the narcissist...
You thought that these girls normally have poor relationships with their mothers. I met her mother with her once and there actually were problems between them. Her mother seemed to be judgmental towards her and at the same time over-protective.
The part about the lack of empathy for others was also spot-on on your part. When she decided to break up with me, she told me in such a way that the whole thing seemed like a joke saying 'I don't want a serious relationship, I am still very young' despite her being 23 going on to 24 soon.'
Needless to say this whole incident sucked the soul out of me...
I consulted a friend who is a clairvoyant who was able to read her mind and see her future. Bascially he told me that this girl was too aware of the fact that she is gorgeous, and that seeing guys' reactions to her amuses her and she is amused by the effect she has on guys.
And basically the clairvoyant told me that after a while she found me 'too easy' as I gave her everything she wanted, and when she realised that it was enough to give me a call to get me to do whatever she wanted for her. And most importantly he revealed to me that she was looking for someone that is a challenge, someone that would make her work for the relationship...
Needless to say hearing all this brought all the wrong things I did flying back in my face and made me realise that hell lots of things in your Dating Black Book were true.
I was just wondering if you could give me some advice about women like these, those that are on the 9/10 region of the scale, the narcissists and the me-monkeys, what you think about them and what one needs to do in situations like these.
I was also wondering if you could offer any advice of how I am to lift myself out of this pit, as after being with such a gorgeous girl every other girl seem like peanuts compared to her physically and I feel that I have completely lost all my energy.
The worst thing is that I feel that I have had the cream and that nothing else can compare with what I had and it is really putting off my drive and effectively killing my desire when I meet other girls.

Well, one thing I can tell you is that your clairvoyant friend doesn't need to be psychic to read this one. He probably just understands human nature (and female nature). I can tell you that you don't have to have any special 'powers' to figure out how damaged women behave.

I already covered all those things in the e-books, actually. There are women who are so broken inside in their beliefs and attitudes that they cannot have a normal relationship without a TON of drama and BS.
I covered challenge in my book as well. Women like this thrive on the guys that can be a challenge to her, instead of the other way around.
Yes, she's obviously damaged goods, and you're better off without her.
One thing that I believe about extremely attractive women is that they mature slower compared to other women. They're so used to getting things easily because of their looks that they don't really experience the same kind of hardships other women do. As a result, they're not usually as mature as women who are slightly less attractive.
Also, these women get everything in life easily. They don't encounter challenge very much in their lives. When they do, they're completely turned on by it.
Right now, you're just in "lost infatuation" mode. You had a hot woman, and you messed it up by handing all the control over your emotions (and the relationship, such that it was) to her.
You're heartbroken. That's it.

It will pass, I guarantee you.
Think about it: You just went through hell with this chick messing with your mind and your heart, her childish immaturity, and yet at the end of your email you still say that you think you had the "cream".
All because of her LOOKS, not her quality of character.
But you never really HAD her. She was never yours.
You can never really own these girls in any way, or ANY girls for that matter. The second you believe you actually "had" her, meaning some kind of possessing of her, you're doomed.
People only stay in relationships out of their need to satisfy their OWN emotional needs. That's not negative or cynical; it's just the reality of human emotions.
Here are a few tips to watch out for in the future and save yourself this kind of heartache.
1) Look for red flags right away.
Don't wait until you're heavily into a chick before you start watching for the nasty signs of her problems. I'll bet you that if you look back you probably saw many warning signs were there way back at the start. They didn't seem so important though when you wanted to cut a little slice of that pie.
Lesson learned. Let's not make the same mistake twice.
Watch out for her behaviors that make your spider-sense tingle...
2) Control your emotional investment until you determine that she's of quality.
Don't jump into a lake that you can't see the bottom of...

All that stuff you've probably heard a thousand times.

Take a minute every time you think about this girl and remember all the cruel, selfish, hurtful things she did to you. If you decide you want to remember how wonderful she was (even just her looks) you'll never get over her. You'll wind up one of those guys I see crying in his warm beer at the scummy tavern, telling his sad story to any guy who'll listen.
Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get your life together.
